Who is the scuba refresher for?

The refresher is designed for certified divers who haven't been underwater recently or simply want to rebuild confidence before continuing with their dive vacation.

You don't need to earn your certification again. Instead, you'll review the knowledge, equipment and skills you learned previously, then put them back into practice on a shallow guided dive.

PADI recommends completing a refresher when it has been more than six months since your last dive.

Refresher Required

Belize Pro Dive Center requires divers who have not dived in five years or more to complete a refresher before returning to regular diving.

Two Daily Options

Morning or afternoon refresher

The refresher is offered as a half-day experience with morning and afternoon scheduling.

Morning 8:00 AM – 11:30 AM

Begin at 8:00 AM and finish at approximately 11:30 AM.

Afternoon 1:00 PM – 4:40 PM

Begin at 1:00 PM and finish at approximately 4:40 PM.

No Student Minimum

There is no minimum number of participants required for the refresher to operate.

Finish on the Reef

One shallow open-water dive

After your confined-water skills review, you'll complete a shallow guided dive where you can put those refreshed skills back into practice.

Maximum Depth 30 ft Approx. 9 m
Typical Location Hol Chan

Hol Chan is normally used when conditions allow. The final dive location may change based on weather, sea conditions and instructor discretion.

Are GST and park fees included?

A 12.5% Government Sales Tax is additional. Marine park fees are also additional when applicable to the dive location.
